Unsure where your business fits within the Social Media landscape?

Social Media is key for all businesses, but not every platform is right for every business, and nor do many small businesses have the resources to be effective on a wide range of social media outlets. So, what do you do?

1)  Know which are going to be the best Social Media sites for your business as well as when and where to place things?

2) Consider who your audience is; is it customers, is it influencer's, is it going to be more about customer relationships, etc?

3) Understand what your message is and what are you going to add to the community you are wanting to be a part of?

4) Remove any thoughts that this is just like creating a traditional advert and posting it on as many sites as possible.

5)  Identify how you are going to look at the ROI

Some great places to start with these thoughts are these articles:  Marketing Donut  and the Social Media Examiner.

But if you are looking for more support and help then that is why I created the Social Media Super Group, in it we look at different social media sites, identifying their audiences, how to use them effectively as a business and how to understand the potential routes to return on investment from each.

"I liked the discussion/forum style sessions which allowed us to share knowledge, experience and ideas. My confidence to give things a try has grown"  Zoe,  Sheffield Sustainable Kitchens
